Syngenta was struggling to keep pace with growing data volumes and complex pipelines running on Talend. The existing setup slowed down processing and demanded frequent manual fixes. Migrating hundreds of Talend jobs also carried risk of disrupting day-to-day operations. Our Solution
Celebal Technologies rolled out the “Syngenta Data Migration Program” to modernize their data environment using Databricks on AWS. We migrated all Talend jobs smoothly with a Medallion-based framework, ensuring minimal disruption. Talend code was converted into SQL and managed with control tables for efficient workflows. We deployed a validation tool to keep data quality tight. Storage was optimized using bronze layers on S3, handling large volumes without extra space. SnapLogic managed full and incremental data ingestion without changing the core design.
Governance improved with Databricks Unity Catalog, while Power BI provided self-service reporting and visualization. Automation with Databricks Asset Bundle made deployments fast and repeatable. This solution made Syngenta's data processing faster, governance stronger, and insights easier to access.
